Italian crunchy almond cookies (Castagnelle) - Mitzy At Home
A few days ago, I mentioned how hectic December is around here and I wasn't kidding. I'm already feeling it this week, the typical December, I have a cold and I haven't gotten enough sleep in all week. Oh, but the good outweighs the (not so) bad, right?

Salted Caramel Brownies Adapted from Baked - Sugar and Charm - sweet recipes - entertaining tips - lifestyle inspiration
I've eaten a lot of brownies in my life (is that such a bad thing?) and I can honestly say these salted caramel brownies are absolutely amazing! I adapted the recipe from the famous Baked brownie, so it's no wonder they're delicious! These are super rich, like can't-drink-without-milk rich, and very moist.

Cinnamon-Cardamom Cake with Maple Pecan Frosting - The Food Charlatan
A spice cake full of cinnamon and cardamom flavor, made from a doctored yellow cake mix. The cake is accented with Maple Pecan Frosting, just to put things over the top. Today was the kind of day where I let my 18-month-old baby fend for himself lunch-wise.

Vegan Whoopie Pie Recipe | Minimalist Baker Recipes
In July I took my birthday cake over to some friends' house to share with them and their 3-year-old daughter. She always gets excited when I bring over treats. She likes sugar, so obviously we're friends. While we were all enjoying our dessert, I remarked that the cake consistency with the coconut whipped cream frosting reminded me of whoopie pies!

Chocolate chip cinnamon coffee cake recipe
Tender and moist, this cinnamon coffee cake is boosting with flavor from both the addition of ground cinnamon to the cake and the cinnamon sugar and chocolate chips used as a crunchy topping. One of my favorite stores to shop at is Home Goods/Marshalls.

Snickers Pancakes
Every year for my daughter's birthday I make her special birthday pancakes for breakfast. Over the years I've made Cake Batter Pancakes, Double Stuff Oreo Pancakes, and Peanut Butter Cup Pancakes. This year she requested Snickers Pancakes. I think she got a little hooked on Snickers bars after I bought a bunch to make Snickers Caramel Apple Salad.
