So I'm weird about cranberry stuff. We've now reached that time of year where I make my annual confession of loving jellied cranberry sauce from a can. Yes. There you go. That's what I love. I don't even care for the fresh, wonderful cranberry sauces. I KNOW.
Not too long ago, some may have said the Moscow Mule was making it's way onto the "endangered species list" of cocktails. Lately though, we've seen it in most bars we've been in. Since we're seeing a resurgence of love, we thought it would be good idea to share it with you!
Welcome to this Wednesday morning booze-bash. Seems about right for a Wednesday, no? The crazy talented, super sweet bloggers Renee + Sherrie coordinated this amazing #drinkthesummer virtual party, and I couldn't help but join in! Drink the summer was literally my theme for this recipe. Peaches. Strawberries. Rosé. Slushies.
It's September, which means we're heading into all things pumpkin season. I'll take my pumpkin in this perfectly delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte Martini, how about you? Unless you live under a rock you've probably heard Starbucks has a popular drink out in the fall called the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Orange marmalade may be sweet, but it also offers an underlying bitterness reminiscent of burnt caramel. Lemon juice helps the citrus sing while honey mellows the whole thing out in this intensely flavorful vodka sour. It's the kind of versatile cocktail that's equally appropriate day or night, all year round.
I should take a screen shot of the weather forecast so ya'll can see what record temperatures we're having right now! I know I mentioned last week when I posted Friday's cocktail that there had been a slight, fall-like breeze in the air. Well, it feels like full on fall right now!
So, two weeks ago Rich and I made the peach basil collins, which, if you haven't tried yet, you're seriously missing out - but this week, we're taking the same flavor profiles and turning it into a peach basil moscow mule.
My summer peach obsession continues. And now that these margaritas have entered the picture things are getting crazy! Lucky for us one of our lovely CSA members farms/owns Mountain View Orchards right up the street and she gave us a huge box of peaches.
Summer Berry Sangria is a refreshing cocktail made with summer berries soaked in red wine with berry infused vodka and a sweet bubbly ginger ale. I love red wine. By no means am I an expert, but I can certainly tell you if a wine tastes good or not.
