I love food magazines. The most dangerous section of the store for me is the checkout lines with all of the magazines. I love looking at the photos and coming up with inspirations from all of the delicious looking recipes.
Finally, after centuries of slowly hacking away at natural resources, waste-free living has become très chic! And, with that, I give you three recipes that use up those vegetable scraps you might be used to tossing (or, hopefully, composting).
It seems I'm always the last to know about celebratory food days. I'm pretty sure I've missed every national cookie day (Dec. 4th), national peanut butter day (Jan 24th) and every other food "day" in the history of this blog. Who comes up with this stuff anyway?

You guys. It's pancakes. And on a Friday. And there is no chocolate. Like none at all. This is so unlike me. I know, but hear me out. It's mid August (how is this even possible) and things like corn and tomatoes are everywhere.
For about a year now my hubs has been bugging me. Bugging me for a jet ski. Every weekend we were at the cabin this past summer it would become a topic of conversation. Every time he saw someone on one he'd casually mention how much "I" would enjoy it.
Surprise! It's summer! Ok, maybe not really, but it has been feeling a little too much like summer here recently. We have had temperatures in the upper nineties for a few days in a row and I've been feeling hot, tired, and unmotivated. It is crazy how temperatures can be so different from one side ...
