No Yeast- Apple Cinnamon Rolls with Maple Icing. I've mentioned before that my family made a big move recently... from sunny San Diego to the mountains near Lake Tahoe. We are absolutely loving our new life here.
Lately I've been feeling a little guilty about neglecting the blog, but this past week I just haven't felt like baking. I don't know if it's because of all of the last-minute baby prep or because Stephen went back to school this week and we've been trying to spend as much time together as possible....
One of my intentions for this new year was to create, revisit and post some classic recipes here on the blog. As a self-taught baker, after mastering the basics, I spend a lot of time trying to come up with new recipes with unique flavor combinations and realized I tend to leave out the classics that we all love so much.
Caramel apple in a cake form? Yes! This soft and fluffy Spiced Apple Cake is paired with salted caramel frosting and topped with smoky salted caramel sauce!! Have you been looking for a new way to enjoy the traditional caramel apple of the fall? Well you don't have to look any further.
Preheat oven to 170 degrees celcius. Grease bottom and sides of 4 , 6 -inch round cake tins and line bottom and sides with parchment paper.( I have 2, i baked 2 cakes first and reused them to bake the other two cakes.)
I am so excited to be teaming up with Nestle today to share this fun new cookie recipe. It is one of my new favorites! The idea for this cookie has been rolling around in my head for a few months now. I wanted to create cookie that was a combination of all my favorite ...
Me and these carrot cake bars go way back. Waaay, way back to 1999, October 12 to be exact. I didn't just pull this date out of my memory, because it's not that good, but a little while back I found my first ever "cookbook".
This super easy cake gives you the satisfaction of a pumpkin pie but without having to deal with crust-rolling. Just dump and bake. Plus, streusel=WIN. Are you a book person? I'm not asking if you read. Everyone reads. I'm asking if you are a Book Person.
If you had to choose between a cookie and a slice of cake, which would you prefer? A warm chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven or a piece of fluffy chocolate cake? Personally I would take the cookie.
I'm back! I'm alive! SXSW is officially over, thank goodness ! Four days later, I'm still in recovery mode. Unfortunately, mid-way through last week I contracted a nasty cold - the product of too many handshakes & not enough hand sanitizer - and I'm slowly working my way back towards feeling "normal".
