Chocolate Almond Cake - Completely Delicious
Julia Child's Chocolate Almond Cake may just be my new favorite cake. It's incredibly rich and decadent. The center is purposefully undercooked, leaving a fudgy center you'll crave long after the cake is gone. After spending two weeks away on vacation, I very much enjoyed coming home and slipping into our old routine- grocery shopping on monday, laundry on thursday, pizza night on friday.

Nancy Silverton's Butterscotch Budino " Fifteen Spatulas
If you've ever had Nancy Silverton's Butterscotch Budino, you know how unbelievably good it is. This dessert hits spots you didn't even know could be hit. I first tried it last month when I was in Minnesota for a Land O'Lakes trip.

Lavender Blackberry Crumbles " Fifteen Spatulas
Today is the post where despite the fact it's still snowing in the middle of March, I go to the store, buy frozen berries, and pretend it's summer with these Lavender Blackberry Crisps. Want to join me? I got a good summery weather tease earlier this week at The Pioneer Woman 's ranch in Oklahoma.

Chilled Raspberry Almond Cake - Creme De La Crumb
So this looks like a winter-y cake but I promise it is not. Think of it like a snow cone. It looks like snow, feels like snow, but you don't eat it a snow cone in December. You eat snow cones in the summertime, when it's hot outside and your shoulders are sunburned.

Recipe: Mango Coconut Icebox Cake - Dessert Recipes from The Kitchn
Coconut is a polarizing ingredient. I have met people who can't get enough of it, and people who flick it away like a bug. I can empathize with both. Coconut wafts in with the scent and taste of the tropics, but the problem, I suspect, for most haters is the texture; on a scale of tenderness, shredded dried coconut can fall somewhere between hay and chopped toothpicks.

Carrot Cupcakes with Vanilla Bean Cream Cheese Frosting - A baJillian Recipes
A skinnier version of the classic carrot cake made with less oil, yet still just as moist and flavorful! Topped off with a smooth and silky vanilla bean cream cheese frosting! It's funny how our ideas of certain foods can change so drastically from childhood. An example for me would be carrot cake.

Easy Coconut Apple Tarts
Do you find that sometimes you just need dessert. Or is that just me? Dinner was fine. There was nothing wrong with it, but I sometimes (often ... shh!) have a lingering feeling that a sweet morsel would be the perfect end to the meal.
