I have a deep love for espresso that has become much more profound since acquiring a Nespresso machine last year. I don't mean to sound like an advertisement but that stuff is just so darn smooth! I've developed a three skim latte per day habit.
Even though I'm lactose intolerant, I suffer through it for ice cream. It's one of my big weaknesses, and it doesn't help that I live in a city that is full of fantastic artisan ice cream shops.
I know what some of you are thinking and no, I don't need an intervention. This is the last corn recipe, I promise... for this year at least. The first time I encountered sweet corn ice cream (well technically, it was gelato) was at Chef Mario Batali's casual pizza and pasta joint, Otto in NYC.
Saturday we bought a newer car for me. Sunday we sold my old car to the first person that came to see it off Craigslist (how did we even function before Craigslist? Also, someone please explain to me how Craigslist makes money. This has been a dinner time discussion more than once in our house with no conclusion).
