It's summer so we should all be drinking as many smoothies as we can right? I think it is the best time of year for smoothies because there's such an abundance of good fresh fruit, and better yet, at great prices. I just bought 4 lbs of blueberries for $5 yesterday, epic I know.
Orange Julius recipes have been floating around for years, but I was always skeptical about them. I thought they could never be as good as the "real thing," and even though I haven't had the real thing in at least 25 years, that drink was still on a pedestal in my memory.
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add mezcal, Aperol, lemon juice, and bitters. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Fill a rocks glass with fresh ice. Add club soda to glass and strain cocktail on top. Garnish with lemon peel.
A delicious blueberry mandarine-lime beverage. This spritzer is non-alcoholic made with a sugared blueberry base and a mandarine-lime sparkling water. I have to admit, this has been my favorite drink of the summer!! There have been some great ones made (and the best of those have shown up here on the blog), but it has been decided that this one is my absolute favorite.
Orange Creamsicle Cocktail Recipe By Ann If you liked Orange Creamsicles as a kid, try this Orange Creamsicle for adults! Easy to make, this creamy and smooth cocktail is simply delicious.
This is a post I did a couple of years ago that I decided to publish again for a couple of reasons. I was reminded of this Lemon Drop Martini when my blogging pal John at Kitchen Riffs shared a post yesterday with the Lemon Drop Martini .
Fresh, seasonal fruits and summer simply go hand-in-hand. Some fruits we take for granted all year long and many we can find out of season most of the year but then there are those special fruits, of course the ones we crave the most, that have a limited run.
Irish Cream was my gateway liquor, and I drank entirely too much of it as a teen. You'd think that gorging on mudslides in a hotel room at my senior prom after-party and subsequently getting my drunk self dissed by my straight-laced sophomore date (who had braces and was named Spencer) would have put me off the stuff, but no such luck.
I don't want Summer to go!! I often think about moving to a seriously warm place. Summer from January to December. Sun and beach all the time. Then I begin to think about Santa Claus in shorts and the whole idea is shot. Yes, Santa in a suit with red shorts - Sydney, Australia, circa January 2001.
